Resources That I Use
If you want to study using some of the resources I use here are some good ones:
Holman Christian Standard Bible - This is my favorite version of the Bible so far. They did such a great job of translating the words into meaningful English. It is very helpful and good for study and for reading. I purchased a copy for my Kindle that I use frequently.
World English Bible - I quote from this Bible in my blog because:
- It is in the public domain
- It is a modern english translation
- It uses a pretty good source text.
Bible Gateway - I frequently search through Bible text at this site. They have most of the popular English versions of the Bible and when I need to find something I read or heard before, this helps me find it.
Blue Letter Bible - I frequently use this site to hear some of my favorite commentary. You can search for a passage and then choose to hear audio messages given about that part of the Bible. I like to listen to Dr. J. Vernon McGee, Pastor Chuck Smith, and Dr. Chuck Missler.
Amen Me - When I am doing research, sometimes I find a resource or hear a story that I want to share with the Christian community. I go to Amen Me and give it an "Amen!" I put many great Christian sites here and you can search through them and find the ones you like.
